Arthrogram of Right Hip - MRI Results? - hip osteophyte formation 2009

I have the results of my right hip arthorogram MRI (went to the lab and asked directly) - What does this mean? I see my doctor within 14 days and not talk on the phone. Thank you very much.

MAGNETIC RESONANCE ATHROGRAM right hip

RESULTS:

It is an abnormal signal intensity in the anterior superior labrum is best seen in Figures 17 to 20 series and 103 pictures of 15 and 16 of the 104 series. N paralabral cyst detected. The observed increased signal intensity in the posterior edge of the crown T2-weighted images is probably the groove of the rear wheel, a variant of normal. There are small cartilage tear in the medial femoral head and cup beside it. No change subchondralidentified.

There is a small bony prominence at the junction of the anterior femoral neck to see in the picture 16 of the 102 series. Mild edema of bone marrow was observed in this region.

PRESSURE:

1. Earlier non-displacement acetabular labrum tear as described above. No evidence of paralabral cyst.
2. Slight loss of cartilage on the inside of the hip, without osteophytes or significant changes in subchondral.
3. Slight bony prominence at the junction of the anterior femoral neck. This may be the shock of femoroacetabular and clinical context are recommended times.

My hip used. This looks like a report that a pro athlete or an elderly person or perhaps someone who was very overweight. My impression is that they are older, as the preceding bone indicated. Maybe even in the early stages of arthritis. The MRI results should be correlated with clinical data in order to know the real story is ... I will not argue with you, but rather wait and see your doctor.

The cup is the cup of the hip. The head of the femur refers to the ball. Back transmit paths. Superior means toward the media head.Medial on the page.

Edit: 25 years and active: Watch professional athletes. Then you have breached causing Cartlidge and / or inflammation. Rest of the area until theirDoctor to learn more.

It seems that if you have a tear pad with FAI (femoro-acetabular impingement). This is to be a dealt with fairly easily arthroscopic surgery of the hip. We do it often and have had great success with them. Make sure your doctor knows the process and make a repair, if necessary, rather than debridement.
